Deep-sea Gulf Stream fish include snapper, grouper, sea bass, triggerfish, shark, king and Spanish mackerel, barracuda, amberjack, dolphin, wahoo, sailfish, tuna and marlin. In-shore, you’ll find an abundance of trout, bass, flounder, sheep’s head, tarpon, whiting and shark.

You can also go crabbing from the piers, docks and bridges. There’s very little equipment involved here –- just a pole, a string and a chicken neck! Crabbing is a great family activity and the supplies are bountiful in the shops around Tybee.
